Director's Choice has been moving student performers for more than two decades.  An avid supporter of music education, we understand the life changing significance of traveling to march in the halftime performance of the All-American Bowl for your student and you.

That's why we are honored to have the designation of the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band Preferred Friends & Family Travel Partner.  This designation is earned by our track record of safe, transparent and responsible travel provision for thousands of students and adults each year. Further, our buying power and supplier relationships allow us to offer options and rates that may not be accessible for individual travel planners.

While Director’s Choice primarily works with student music groups and their directors, our travel agency, Envoyé Travel, allows us to plan, ticket and book individual trips for family members.

When do I schedule my student's flight?

In October, a list of names and date ranges will be distributed. You will call Director’s Choice within your given time frame to select your flight over the phone.

Can I fly to San Antonio with my child?

Yes! If you’d like to fly with your student, you will cover the cost of your flight and an additional booking fee. Your student’s flight is covered.

If I don't want to fly in as early as my student, are there other arrival dates?

Absolutely. Starting Wednesday evening, we have events available for parents. You are permitted to fly in any day during the week. Tickets that are not picked up by Friday afternoon for the Bowl Game will be left at the box office at the Alamodome.

What is there for me to do in San Antonio besides visit rehearsal and attend parent sessions?

We are pleased that Director’s Choice has offered a variety of excursion options for families and friends. You can discuss this with your Director’s Choice representative.

How does my student get their boarding pass/flight ticket?

24 hours before their flight, your student will check-in to their flight online via the airline’s website. Boarding passes can be printed, emailed or downloaded to smart phones.

What does my student need at the airport?

If your student is over 18, they will need their driver’s license. If they are under 18, a school I.D. will suffice.

What can my student bring on the plane?

Homework, books, music players, and more! However, please check with FAA regulations regarding restrictions (for example, no drinks).

How does my student get from the San Antonio airport to their hotel?

Staff and alumni from the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band will be at the airport to greet your student and walk them in groups from their baggage claims and shuttles. The shuttle will take them directly to the Grand Hyatt, where they will register with more band staff on the third floor.

Where can I get event tickets and game tickets for the week we are in San Antonio?

In addition to Director’s Choice offering excursions, there are a few events open to parents including ourFriday night Awards Show, our Wrap Party on Saturday evening, and of course – the Bowl game! You can reserve tickets for these events at: http://www.fbustore.com/u-s-army-all-american-marching-band-ticket/
